My Mission
To me, illustration is a valid form of communication between people. Through images we can convey messages to each other that can’t be summed up in just words. This concept of communication is what inspired me to enter the greeting card field. Greeting cards sell sentiments; what the consumer is trying to say to a loved one is represented through the illustrations as well as the written text inside a card. I work with pastel, cute characters and delicate hand lettering to assist my audience with sending their sentiments to others. I often feel nostalgia from my own early childhood and the soft quality of children’s illustrations, so I bring that childlike quality to my work to hopefully bring the same nostalgia and comfort to others. I aspire to keep creating work that resonates with others and helps them communicate with each other on a unique level. I also find the medium to be a way for me to communicate with the people that consume my illustrations.
